If you follow me on social media, especially on Instagram, you might know that I visited Budapest a couple of months ago, but, for some reason, I never really came around writing this blog post, so I thought it’s better late than never and finally give you a little insight on my trip right now. 😄
We, consisting of me and 4 of my friends, stayed in Budapest for a total of 5 days in July after staying in Siófok at Lake Balaton.
We had a beautiful apartment, but it thankfully didn’t distract us from visiting the sights this city has to offer.
First of all, if you’re looking for a great viewpoint, I recommend visiting Buda Castle because you’ll get a beautiful view over the city and other amazing sights while walking up. 😌
Besides, the Liberty Statue is worth a visit if you feel like going for a walk, because you’ll be rewarded with a gorgeous view over the city and the Danube, again.
When we went for a walk in the City Park, we stopped by castle Vajdahunyad and it felt like we’ve traveled back in time.
However, in my opinion, the Hungarian Parliament Building is the most stunning building you’ll come across during your visit, so going there is an absolute must, especially during golden hour. 😍
Furthermore, another not-so-secret place I recommend visiting is Daubner Cukrászda. Though it’s located a little outside of the center, it’s definitely worth the walk, or train ride, because they make the best cake and ice cream in Budapest. I don’t have any photos to show you on here because you’re not permitted to photograph their creations, but their website shows veeery close-to-reality photos of them. 😋
