Hello there and happy Sunday!
On Tuesday of this week, I asked for your opinions on how I can improve my blog and what you want to see more/less of and many of you wanted me to share more personal information, which I was very surprised of but also very happy about because I’d love to share more personal aspects of my life with you, I just didn’t think anyone would actually care. 😅
I thought the best way to share more personal things with you is through weekly updates which will go up on either Sundays or Mondays, depending on what I do that Sunday night. I love the concept of these posts because I always loved the idea of diaries and this is kind of like a diary. Just a public one.
With this being said (or written) I’m letting you know that I’m planning on posting twice (or three times if I post the update on a Monday) a week now. One post on Wednesdays and an update on Sundays/Mondays.
I’d like to put a little disclaimer here because I’m not a successful full-time blogger who does amazing things all the time so there will be days I’ll do nothing or at least nothing interesting but there are also weeks I’m already looking forward to which I’m so excited to tell you about.
Okay… so let’s see what I did last week.
university and bed
I decided to visit a B.A. lecture (two actually but I didn’t make it to the second one) because I wanted to see what they are like as I’m thinking about studying B.A. next year. The lecture started at 10 so I set my alarm for 8 but at the moment, my body does that thing where it naturally wakes me up 20 minutes before the alarm goes off and I’m that type of person who often has a really tough time falling back asleep.
Since I went to bed at about 1 and was already lacking sleep from the nights before, you may be able to tell how tired I was. 🙄
I had planned to go to a second lecture afterward but I felt so incredibly unenergized that I decided to take the train home instead because there was also no necessity for me to force myself to go there because I’m not a student yet. 😄
When I got home, I thought that I would feel more awake after working out so I started getting ready but my body told me “Natascha, please don’t. Let me rest.”, which it actually never does so I decided to listen to it and stayed home. This sounds like such a basic Tumblr post, I’m actually very disciplined when it comes to working out and it takes a lot for me to just stay home because I always feel so guilty if I do but you also have to listen to your body and if it tells you no, then don’t do it. Just don’t start mistaking your mind for your body.
Instead, I decided to take some photos for a new beauty post that will be up soon and apart from that I spend the whole day in bed basically and skyped with my friend Nike, who I haven’t talked to in a long time, and we exchanged some ideas for our blogs.
It’s so amazing to have friends who also blog and are interested in the same things as you are and care about the same things as you do.
And even though I swore myself to go to bed early, guess who stayed up until 0:30…. 🙋🏽
working and working out
I couldn’t believe it but I actually got more sleep that night (8 full hours, yaaay).
In the morning I started some Twitter polls because I want to know your opinions on some aspects concerning my blog. The polls are still active but the results are pretty clear so far so I decided to just go for it already.
I felt more energized, so I went to the gym at 11:30 and did a bit of cardio, which I rarely ever do, before training my legs and butt. After that, I had to get some groceries, made myself a Quark with banana and took a shower.
I finished the beauty post, scrolled through Instagram for some photo and outfit inspiration and afterwards, my boyfriend came around and we lay in bed talking about life and our plans for December… there’s so much I’m looking forward to (Christmas markets, hiking on – hopefully – snowy mountains and much, much more). 😍
Aaaaalso… this is the day my blog hit 1.000 visitors!! Some of them are people from my hometown who know me in real life but the majority are people who I don’t know and, more importantly, who don’t know me and the fact that they see/read my content makes me so happy.
I’m going to write more on this topic later this year but I just want to let you know that this makes me so so so so happy because I didn’t think anyone would actually click on my blog let alone read my blog posts or even comment on them.
Also, thank you for all your kind messages and compliments in the comments and on Twitter. They really mean a lot to me. ♥️
working in retail with sore muscles
Even though I went for a slightly less intense workout (because of girly things) yesterday, my muscles feel sorer than the last times. It was a very uneventful day because I really just worked on the blog, my Instagram and from 15:00 to 20:00 in retail but I left at around 13:45 because I had to run some errands before. I went to an H&M store to check for the item number of my red coat from my previous post because I can’t find it anywhere online and clever me threw away the price tag where the item number is on 🤦🏽♀️. But turns out the item number on the price tag belongs to a mascara (it’s 079172 by the way)… well done, H&M. 👏🏼
I also looked for a planner for 2018 because I definitely need one and I wanted to get one soon because this way I have more than a month to prepare and fill it with the most important events and information before the year starts, but they didn’t have any nice ones in the store so I’m going to continue looking for one in the next weeks.
Also, the store I’m working in already started playing Christmas songs which I didn’t mind at all. 🤶🏼😌

my internship and running into YouTubers
I tweeted about this once but I don’t think anyone really knows this: I’m (kind of) an intern at a lawyers office because I was actually thinking about studying law just a few months ago but I changed my mind.
I’ve been there for one and a half months now so I don’t have to come that regularly anymore. Hence only once this week.
I don’t know why but I have this thing where I often randomly run into German YouTubers in the streets. This time it was KranCrafter, who I came across on the way to the office, but I never approach them because I’m not that much of a fangirl. 😄
Since I couldn’t work out yesterday, I hit the gym after I came home and forced myself to eat something.
On Monday I literally ate anything and everything but yesterday and today I actually had to force myself to eat because I didn’t feel hungry all day.
I try to stick to my leg day, upper body day, rest/cardio, leg day, upper body day routine and mostly do, but this week I didn’t manage to keep up with it. But hey, nobody’s perfect.
In the evening my boyfriend picked me up and we met up with friends to watch the 1. FC Köln vs. Arsenal match at a local sports bar.
a day off
I had nothing planned but since my boyfriend, who had to start working at 8:00, slept at my place, I woke up early and couldn’t fall back asleep.
The weather was so bad and what do you do then? Correct, work on blog posts.
Though I didn’t have a lot of possibilities, none to be exact, to shoot outfit photos so far this week, I still have some blog posts coming your way because some bird tweeted me (German saying, does that even make sense in English?? I don’t know but I wanted to make a nice Twitter reference 😂) that you also like the other categories on the blog so…. 🙇🏽♀️👩🏽💻
Another thing I love to do on rainy days especially is going to the gym because then I feel like I’m not missing out on anything and feel more productive.
Today was another leg/booty day. Since the last lower body workout literally kicked my ass, I hope this time I won’t be in as much pain because I have to work on Saturday again and I have the feeling it’s going to be very stressful. 🙃
work work work work work work
I accompanied my boyfriend at work so we could spend some time together and he later drove me to work. Super exciting day.
I got home at 20:15 and picked up on a blog post I started a few months ago and continued writing on some others, including this one.
I’m that type of blogger that gets so (almost too) excited to post a blog post that I always want to post it right away but it’s always good to have some in reserve, just in case. 😄
gym and raclette
I woke up at 7:50, checked my phone, fell back asleep (thank God), and woke up at 9:50 again. That’s how I knew the day is off to a great start.
You may have noticed that my gym routine is all over the place this week but I want to get back on track next week. Today it was time for an upper body workout, but since I had breakfast at around 10:20, I “only” got to the gym at 12. I usually try to go at around 11 but sometimes you have no control and sleep is also a very important brick in the fitness wall. 🤷🏽♀️
In between that time, I worked on some more blog posts and I’m so happy that even though I didn’t shoot this week, I still have a blog post coming up on Wednesday and so many in reserve so it was still a very productive week. Just not for my Instagram…. 😅
Tonight I’m going to my boyfriend’s place, have raclette with his family and sleep over. Since he has to work at 8 am again, I may be able to hit the gym earlier tomorrow. 🙂
