Weekly Update #2

the never-ending day

I got up at 7 and was so incredibly tired.
When I was in High School, I’d always wake up at 6:30 and now I wonder how I managed to do that every day. I mean, I went to bed at 10 every night so I still got my 8 hours of sleep but still, how? and how does one go to bed at 10?
Since 8:30 was just a little early to go to the gym, I worked on blog posts (who would have thought) and scrolled through Instagram, Twitter and blogs while sipping on my Indian Chai tea.
The weather was bad as always: rainy, cloudy, dark.

I got to the gym at 11 and had a booty-focused workout and finished the writing part of this week’s blog post as soon as I got home.
That Monday was that type of day that just doesn’t seem to end. But I can’t complain, that way I had more time to do what I love – or at least it felt like more time.

I shot and edited the photo for my recent blog post, drank some more tea, ate some cookies and spent some more time on blogs, YouTube, and social media.

visiting Cologne’s Christmas markets

Since I got to sleep a little longer today, I gladly did. As soon as I woke up, I decided to hang up some Christmas lights on my bed. I really wonder why I didn’t do it earlier.

Then, I drove to the gym, did my upper body workout routine, drove home and got ready because we wanted to visit the Christmas market at the Cologne Cathedral to enjoy the mood and look for presents. This is what I love about living in Cologne. I love the Christmas markets, the one at the Cathedral is the biggest and so pretty, but it’s not my favorite. My favorite is the one at the Neumarkt. It’s called “Markt der Engel” (“Market of Angels”) and it’s white themed and absolutely beautiful. But we didn’t go there yet. On Tuesday we only went to the one at the Cathedral and the Alter Markt, the “Heimat der Heinzel” (“Home of the Heinzel”). But I can’t wait to visit all the other Christmas markets and I hopefully see some other cities’ ones as well.

cardio and baking

Wednesday was a very special day because it was the first time I did more than 10 minutes of cardio in like a whole year. I never got around doing cardio while I was still in school because my main focus is muscle growth and going to the gym 4 times a week was already super stressful so I couldn’t manage to go 5 times. But this week I felt like going to the gym 5 times instead of 4.
So there I was, on the crosstrainer, for 45 minutes but it actually didn’t feel as bad as I expected. The first 10 to 15 minutes are always the worst but after that, it gets better and better. In the end, it didn’t feel like 45 minutes and I think I might start doing cardio more regularly because I actually felt great afterward.

When I got home, I made myself an omelet, one of my go-to foods at the moment, showered and baked muffins for my last day at the lawyer’s office tomorrow. Baking muffins has become an established way of me saying “Thank you for letting me be an intern”.

the last day at the lawyer’s office

Thursday was another gray day. Days like this make me feel so low. I went to the lawyer’s office one last time today and somehow also managed to go to the gym and have my beloved leg day. What an exciting day….

working and working out

First of all, IT’S DECEMBER!!! πŸŽ…πŸΌβ˜ƒοΈπŸŽ„β„οΈ

I’m so excited for this month, Christmas, New Year’s Eve etc. (have been since September). The first thing I did was opening the first door of my advent calendar. I have to get used to this again but I don’t think I’ll have a hard time doing so. I just hate getting used to not opening doors after Christmas Eve. πŸ˜‚

I went to the gym, as always, trained my arms, and worked later on.
I worked along with two friends of mine and time actually passed quite quickly. After work, we met up with another friend of ours (who I haven’t seen in too long) outside of the store and talked for one and a half hours while freezing our ***** off.

my Animal Crossing addiction

I’d never thought I’d go to the gym every day this week. Even though I knew I’d go on Sunday again (to accompany my friends who are signing up on Sunday so I didn’t really work out on Sunday), I wanted to do another cardio session because I felt so great on Wednesday. Other than that, my mom and I ran some errands but didn’t do anything worth mentioning as I was so tired the whole day because my mom had to blast Brings (a Colognian band) in the morning and woke me up. πŸ˜‚

Can we talk about Animal Crossing Pocket Camp real quick? I downloaded the app last week but didn’t quite understand what you have to do and why. Now that I got more into it, I’m so addicted! If you want to, you can add me and visit my Camp, my ID is 9025 5056 323. πŸ˜„

the first snow

I fell asleep at around 2:30 so I was super tired but I got so excited when I opened the roller shutters and saw the first snow of this winter. πŸ˜β„οΈβ˜ƒοΈ
As you read before, I hit the gym a seventh time today but I didn’t go there to work out today. I went there to accompany my two friends to their signing up appointment and did a light workout session because today was supposed to be my rest day. And I usually never skip rest day.

Playlist of the month

My Christmas playlist, obviously. But I also have another playlist where I put on un-Christmassy songs as well.
